This month one of our customers logged into Assure360, set up a job and pressed go – and in doing so recorded our 90,000th project.
It’s the kind of milestone that’s easy to let slip past – a nice, round number, but not (yet) the full 100,000. Delve into what it means for our customers and the wider industry, though, and we’ve every reason to feel proud. Assure360 makes a concrete, measurable difference to everyone who uses it – and now we’ve run the numbers to help show what we mean.
Every project run through Assure360 is a project that doesn’t depend on paper. Across 90,000 jobs that adds up to 590,520 sheets of paper saved. And in case that doesn’t sound impressive, it’s around 2.79 tonnes, or the equivalent of roughly 56 trees.
Going paperless always had a benefit beyond tidiness, convenience and greater data insight. The numbers confirm that it also means less printing, less filing, less waste – and a smaller footprint for its users.
Assure360 is all about simplifying and speeding up the record keeping and analysis of asbestos and construction projects, but even we were surprised just how that time adds up.
For supervisors, cutting out the daily paperwork has saved something in the order of 104,971 hours – more than 13,000 working days that have gone back into actually running sites, rather than filling in forms.
And that’s just on site. Add up site pack preparation, exposure records and archiving, and Assure360 has saved admin teams an estimated 308,388 hours – incredibly that’s 38,000 working days. Those are hours – days – that go back into managing projects properly, winning new work, and hitting the safety and service milestones you’re working towards.
There’s more to our system than just saving time, of course, and the data we gather represents the industry’s biggest community-sourced database of personals, clearances and site audits – a rich source of insight into how we can make sure Assure360 remains an indispensable tool for everyone who works in the sector.
Of course, none of this would have happened without the contractors, supervisors and analysts who use Assure360, and the invaluable feedback they’ve given over the years to help make our system the best it can be. Thanks to you all, and here’s to the next 90,000 projects.
