We’ve always valued the feedback and ideas we receive from our customers – after all, they represent some of the UK’s most experienced asbestos management businesses. A couple of years ago I started holding quarterly client forums to try and capture some of this expertise, and in turn share more about what’s new on the Assure360 platform. I’m always encouraging Assure360 users to join me so we can compare notes on where we are, what could be better, and where we should be heading.
I wanted to share a bit about our November forum. As always, we started by sharing some recent updates and improvements, not least our implementation of multi-factor authentication, an important reminder that we take our users’ data extremely seriously.
Among two recent updates, I was happy to highlight that people certificates are now visible directly from the app. This provides an important, on-site reference for supervisors, Health and Safety Executive inspectors or anyone else who wants to be reassured that workers are appropriately trained and qualified. We’re also proud that the Assure360 Paperless app is already ready for the new leak testing guidance – well ahead of its actual release.
As I said, a big part of the client forum is that the attendees share their input – we really do use it to help drive our development pathway. In November, they came up with a good pre-Christmas request.
The requirement is that changes made by supervisors to plant and people certification – whether that is a new short-term worker, or kit maintenance being conducted on site – will be recorded by the app, which will smart-update the company information. At the same time, users want to remain in control of the process to help ensure accuracy and consistency between jobs and users.
This is a challenging kind of request: a straightforward need, but also the risk of multiple users updating the same information. Implementing it means first working out how we protect existing data, and make sure updates are handled transparently and visibly. We’re already designing the solution – consider our thinking caps firmly on.
