As regular Assure360 users will already know, I run quarterly support and feedback webinars. These are great sessions through which we can explain the latest features, and gather ideas to help inform upcoming ones. The forum is free, and we encourage all our users to attend so they can get the most from being part of the Assure360 community.
Our next session will be at 1:30pm on Wednesday 18 November – make sure you sign up here!
While gathering your input is an important part of each webinar, I always take time to walk attendees through our latest features – and this quarter there are several significant ones we’re looking forward to demonstrating.
First up, we’ve made big changes to the way people are managed, giving you the power to create new users. This means you no longer need to come to me or other members of the team to set a new starter up, saving you time, and allowing me to give more direct support where it’s needed. As part of the process we’ve overhauled the People interface for a new and far more satisfying user experience.
Another change in this area affects leavers. Previously, the process relied on users notifying Assure360 that a user had left, with the potential this would be overlooked, creating a security issue. There’s now a simple process to remove someone from the system when they no longer work for you.
We’ve deployed a smaller but significant update to the supporting docs system, which now lets you categorise each file you upload to the project, helping keep things more organised. Tied in with this, report preparation now includes relevant supporting documents, helping evidence everything the system’s telling you, without you having to chase around yourself.
I also wanted to highlight some improvements we’re making to the workflows around people and plant. In particular, the system will become more proactive in this area, and it will soon be providing email alerts when people and plant certificates are nearing their renewal or expiry dates.
The final change I’ll be talking about is that projects now appear on the system at 9pm the evening before they start. The logic here is to allow your supervisors to plan ahead before leaving their digs, and not have to rush through it on the day when they’re trying to get to site.
On top of all this we’ll have some late surprises to talk about, so please do join me on 18 November – I’m looking forward to seeing you, and continuing to make Assure360 the best it can be.
